Great to meet you!

My name is Giorvanie Fleurme, and I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care to the people I serve. I work with clients navigating a wide range of emotional and psychiatric challenges, and I am committed to creating a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and truly heard.

My primary areas of focus include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, and panic disorders. I also have experience supporting clients through PTSD, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, sleep difficulties, anger and impulse control, alcohol and substance use, stress, and chronic health conditions. I have a particular commitment to addressing the mental health needs of women, including the emotional and psychological experiences that are unique to women across different stages of life.

I believe healing is possible for everyone — and I take pride in building care plans that are as unique as the individuals I work with.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, person-centered, and built on a foundation of genuine partnership. I don't see my role as simply treating symptoms — I see it as understanding the full picture of a person's life and working together to improve their overall wellbeing.

I pay close attention to the relationship between mental and physical health. For clients managing chronic conditions alongside psychiatric diagnoses, I understand that these challenges are deeply interconnected — and I address them as such. For clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, or eating disorders, I bring sensitivity and care to what are often deeply personal and layered experiences.

For women navigating mental health challenges tied to hormonal changes, life transitions, identity, relationships, or societal pressures, I offer a space where those experiences are taken seriously — not minimized or overlooked.

Above all, I meet clients where they are. My style is warm and direct, and I believe the most effective care happens when a client feels genuinely seen by their provider. Every decision we make together — from treatment goals to medication considerations — will reflect your values, your voice, and your life.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can feel nerve-wracking, and I want you to know upfront: there is no wrong way to show up. Whether you arrive with a detailed history or simply a feeling that something needs to change, we'll start there.

Our first conversation will focus on getting to know you — what's been weighing on you, how long you've been struggling, and what your day-to-day experience has been like. I'll ask questions about your mental health and medical history, but I'll follow your lead on what you're ready to share and when.

I'll also want to understand what you're hoping to feel or accomplish through our work together. That vision — yours, not mine — will shape the direction of your care.

By the end of our first session, you'll have a clearer sense of next steps and a beginning treatment plan. Most importantly, you'll have had the experience of being listened to — fully, without judgment. That's where real care begins.
