Great to meet you!

Have you ever noticed yourself ending up in the same situations, having the same arguments, or feeling the same emotions no matter how hard you try to do things differently?

Many of the patterns that create stress in our lives aren't random. They often develop as ways of coping, protecting ourselves, or making sense of difficult experiences. While those patterns may have served a purpose at one time, they can eventually leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or frustrated by the same challenges showing up again and again.

I'm Giovanni, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions around identity and self-understanding. I help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin understanding the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be influencing how they experience themselves and the people around them.

My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, curious, and challenged in ways that lead to meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is both supportive and insightful. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in helping clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves while building practical tools for navigating life more effectively.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic principles, person-centered therapy, and relational approaches to help clients identify recurring patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we explore how past experiences may be influencing present-day challenges and work toward creating healthier, more intentional ways of responding.

Rather than focusing only on immediate symptoms, I help clients understand the underlying dynamics contributing to emotional distress, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or feelings of being stuck. Insight is important, but so is action, and our work will always focus on creating meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

The first few sessions are about understanding your story, your goals, and the experiences that have shaped how you move through the world. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. In fact, many clients begin therapy because they're trying to make sense of feelings or patterns they don't fully understand yet.

Many of the people I work with feel frustrated by repeating the same cycles in relationships, struggling to trust themselves, or feeling disconnected from the life they want to build. Over time, therapy can help create greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, improved emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of confidence in your decisions and direction.

My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you better understand yourself so you can make choices that align with the life you want.
