Great to meet you!

I am, Girija Menon, a certified Psychiatric NP and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) dedicated to guiding you through your mental health journey. In a world that often feels overwhelming, my primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges and build resilience. My practice is rooted in deep empathy and a commitment to patient-centered care ensuring that every conversation is heard, understood, and met with profound compassion.

With expertise in complex areas: depression, mania, PTSD, psychosis and trauma recovery, I integrate evidence-based therapies including CBT and mindfulness techniques, with a holistic understanding of your unique life context. My DNP background allows me to look beyond immediate symptoms to help you develop sustainable coping strategies and build a life plan that support lasting well-being.

Tele psych services offer the flexibility you need, allowing you to access expert psychiatric support from anywhere. Let's work together to navigate uncertainty, find clarity, and discover your strength.

My approach to therapy

My DNP training provides a unique advantage: the ability to see the patient within their entire ecosystem-their environment, their relationship, their medical history and their treatment process.

Holistic View: I look at the patient as a whole person navigating a complex system. This helps me identify the interconnections of their physical, emotional, social, and psychological well-being.

Active Listening: I practice deep, attentive listening to truly hear the patient's experience-the unspoken concerns, the emotional currents, and the narrative they are sharing.

Non-Judgmental Presence: I strive to create an environment of absolute safety and confidentiality. I believe that true healing begins when a patient feels completely accepted and understood, regardless of their struggles.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warmth, a sense of safety, and a clear understanding of how we will work together. Understanding your needs, setting expectations and collaboratively set achievable goals. There is no pressure to have all answers right away-just the opportunity to begin the process.
