Giselle Strasburg

Hi, my name is Giselle Strasburg, LCSW and I am a South Louisiana native who has been practicing Social Work for 17 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University and my Masters degree from Louisiana State University. I have worked for two mental health agencies, a cancer center, BetterHelp: telehealth company, and two school systems. I am passionate about helping people from all backgrounds and ages become the best versions of themselves in order to reach their highest potential.

My approach to therapy is casual, warm, and empathetic. With someone who has been diagnosed with ADHD and overcome trauma myself, I specialize in treating PTSD, ADHD, Autism, Survivors of Abuse, Addicts in Recovery, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, PMDD, BPD, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship issues, sexual issues, family issues, parenting issues, and women's issues.

In our first session you can expect to be asked several questions about your life and what you need from therapy sessions to reach your full potential. My style is warm, empathetic, conversational, and solution focused. Since everyone heals and grows at their own pace, I will develop a customized treatment plan to meet your individual needs and timeline. At the end of our first session I will assess your thoughts/ feelings about building a rapport with me, determine if I am a good fit to meet your therapeutic needs, and what moving forward with regular sessions would look like. It is my mission to make my clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
