Great to meet you!

Gisoo Mohandesi has always been passionate about helping children, adolescents, individuals, and families navigate life's challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge, where she developed a strong foundation in child development and family systems.

After spending several years working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Gisoo was inspired to further her education and expand her ability to support clients across the lifespan. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University, where she received advanced clinical training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Gisoo provides compassionate, individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She believes that every client has unique strengths and resilience, and she is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Her goal is to help clients build insight, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change that enhances their overall well-being and quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I am passionate about supporting individuals, children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I believe effective therapy begins with understanding each client as a whole person—not simply through the lens of their struggles or diagnosis. Every individual brings unique strengths, experiences, and resilience to the therapeutic process.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we explore challenges with curiosity and compassion, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build on their existing strengths, and cultivate practical skills to navigate life's obstacles with confidence.

I believe that while hardships can shape our experiences, they do not define who we are. With the right support, challenges can become opportunities for growth, resilience, and personal transformation. My goal is to help each client discover their inner strengths, foster emotional well-being, and create a more fulfilling and balanced life.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring your current concerns, and identifying the goals you hope to achieve.

My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I strive to provide care that is culturally responsive, individually focused, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Together, we will begin developing a treatment plan that aligns with your values and goals while building a strong foundation of trust and safety.

Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, or personal growth, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together toward creating the meaningful and fulfilling life you deserve.
