Great to meet you!

Good day! My name is Glen Lavarias and I have been practicing for 17 years now. I am originally from Alaska, relocated to Las Vegas, and now establishing roots in Michigan. I am licensed in all three states and currently engaging in Telehealth services. I have my Masters in Education from Duquesne University. I have worked with adults, families, and children and now primarily focus on adults through individual therapy with all populations, men, women, and transgender.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is what I like to keep simple. I like to meet my clients where they are at during the session. I understand that there may be pressing issues/concerns and I follow the lead of my client. I will challenge you and provide you with different perspectives to allow you time to reflect on what is important to you. I am here to guide you through the challenges and obstacles that you face, as there is a solution to a problem as long as you are willing to take action.

What you can expect from our first session

As a potential client, you can expect to feel heard with active listening and empathy. I am not here to pressure anyone from sharing everything during the first session. I first would like for the client to feel comfortable within the Telehealth (video) space. No pressure is what the client will expect from the session.
