Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Glenda G. Momrelle-Clarke, LMHC-D, LPC, a licensed mental health counselor, educator, and Clinical Director of Soul Discovery Mental Health Counseling Services. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, families, and leaders navigate life's challenges while fostering emotional wellness, personal growth, and meaningful change.

With experience in clinical practice, leadership development, education, and faith-based communities, I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional regulation. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and strengths-based interventions to support each client's unique needs.

I believe healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop practical skills, and move toward the life they desire. Whether you are seeking support for personal challenges, relationship difficulties, or leadership-related stress, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward greater wellness and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. My approach is collaborative, meaning we work together to understand the challenges you are facing, identify your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support lasting change.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed practices. This allows me to tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and leaders navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and stress related to leadership or caregiving roles. I also have experience supporting individuals whose faith, spirituality, or cultural experiences are important parts of their identity.

My goal is not simply to help clients cope with symptoms, but to foster deeper self-awareness, emotional wellness, healthier relationships, and greater resilience. Together, we will create a space where healing, growth, and meaningful transformation can occur.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns, experiences, and goals at your own pace.

During our initial session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. I will ask questions to better understand your emotional, relational, and environmental experiences while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions about therapy and my approach.

Together, we will begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you and develop a plan tailored to your needs. While the first session is primarily focused on assessment and understanding your concerns, many clients leave with greater clarity about their situation, a sense of hope, and initial strategies or recommendations to support their well-being.

Above all, you can expect to be treated with respect, compassion, and authenticity as we work together toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
