Great to meet you!

I'm Glenda, a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-I) serving adults across Massachusetts through telehealth. I specialize in substance use disorders and the challenges that travel with them — anxiety, depression, trauma, and anger. My clients are people who've tried to change on their own, who want real support without shame, and who are ready for something different. I work with most major commercial insurance plans in Massachusetts, including UnitedHealthcare Advantage, so insurance shouldn't be the reason you don't reach out. Hablo español con fluidez — Spanish-speaking clients are always welcome.

My approach to therapy

I meet people where they are — but I don't leave them there. My approach is collaborative, honest, and grounded in the belief that real recovery requires understanding what's underneath the substance use, not just managing the surface. I draw on motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and practical coping skills to help clients build the insight and confidence to make meaningful, lasting changes. I believe in accountability without shame — we celebrate your wins, learn from setbacks, and never use a hard week as evidence that change isn't possible for you.

What you can expect from me

Expect a low-pressure conversation — no intake questionnaires recited back at you, no clipboard energy. I'll start by listening: what brought you in, what you've tried before, what's working in your life and what isn't. Together we'll identify two or three areas to focus on first and begin building a treatment approach that actually fits your life, not a generic plan. First sessions are available in English and Spanish. Come as you are — there's nothing you need to have figured out before we talk.
