Glenn Nelson

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care, with a specialized focus on trauma treatment, anxiety and depression. I am licensed in New Jersey and Florida. Telehealth session are available for Florida residents. A Summa cum laude graduate of Montclair State University, earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and was honored with the prestigious Jerome and Cindy Seidmann Award for Academic Excellence by the Department of Psychology. Continuing a strong academic trajectory, I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, graduating Summa cum laude. I have been in the mental health field for over 16 years as a social worker and counselor.

My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from evidence-based and client-centered modalities to support each individual’s unique journey. I primarily incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Humanistic, and Existential perspectives to create a space where healing, growth, and meaningful change can occur.

Clients explore the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies to shift thinking, cope more effectively, and make empowered choices.
