Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. My name is Gloria Adjabeng, PMHNP-BC, and I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults. I believe mental health care should be collaborative, respectful, and individualized, recognizing that every person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique.

My clinical interests include the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, substance use concerns, and life transitions. I am passionate about helping individuals better understand their mental health and develop practical strategies that support long-term wellness and recovery.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. I proudly provide culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and I am committed to fostering a therapeutic space built on trust, compassion, and mutual respect. Whether you are seeking support for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I look forward to partnering with you in achieving your goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe the most effective mental health care is built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based, meaning I work closely with each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals before developing a treatment plan together.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly. My practice combines thoughtful psychiatric evaluation, medication management when appropriate, psychoeducation, and a holistic understanding of mental wellness. I recognize the important role that lifestyle, relationships, culture, physical health, and personal values play in overall well-being.

I am committed to providing culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care while helping clients build resilience, gain insight, and achieve meaningful improvements in their quality of life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic partnership. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable space where you can share your concerns without fear of judgment.

During our initial appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that explores your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, life experiences, strengths, and treatment goals. I will take time to listen carefully, answer questions, and ensure you feel informed throughout the process.

By the end of the session, we will discuss recommendations, potential diagnoses if appropriate, treatment options, and next steps. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, substance use concerns, or other mental health challenges, you can expect a collaborative approach focused on helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your care.
