Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Gloria Morrow, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Fielding Graduate Institute.

I believe that individuals, couples, and families can heal by confronting, challenging, and ultimately modifying negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am also a Christian therapist who uses spiritual principles to help clients heal when they are desirous of integrating spirituality into treatment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been considered the therapist of my family. After suffering from depression for many years of my life, I gravitated towards hurting people, especially those who are suffering in silence. I want to make a difference in people's lives. I believe I am called to do this work.

My goals for you

During the first session, it is important to begin to assist the clients in setting the goals that are important for their own healing as well as their growth and development. Establishing a therapeutic relationship is pivotal to this process.

My approach

My therapeutic approach centers around a Person-Centered approach that utilizes CBT, Mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, all layered with a culturally responsive approach.

My focus

I am especially effective in working with adult men and women who are suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, couples/marriage counseling, grief and loss, and are also in need of life coaching.

My communication style

I create a beloved community environment for my clients, where the client feels respected and his or her needs are at the forefront of the session. The early goal of our engagement is to build a healthy therapeutic alliance with the client, which is central to the effectiveness of therapy.

My approach to therapy

My first session with you

Our first session is to gain the basic amount of information to establish the working relationship, but the majority of the session will be devoted to building rapport and giving the client space to share their story as little or as much as they are comfortable sharing.

What you can expect from me

The first session will provide you with the opportunity to experience warmth and safety as we partner together to set goals and objectives, as well as to develop a treatment plan that is customized to fit your needs.
