I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative space where you can speak openly and feel respected. We'll work together to understand how past experiences may be affecting your emotions, relationships and sense of self, while also noticing your strengths and what you want to change. I tailor therapy to your needs and pace. When appropriate, I may incorporate EMDR as part of trauma treatment. My goal is to help you build greater self-understanding, emotional safety, and connection in your life.
Our first session is an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what you would like support with. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals while creating a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment. Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities for treatment and develop a plan that feels appropriate for where you are right now. Most importantly, you can expect to be listened to, respected, and met with compassion as we begin building a therapeutic relationship.
