I started a life-long career in the psychology field in Colombia as a clinical psychologist. My passion for the field and helping clients live better lives led me to pursue further accreditation as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, transplanted in Miami, Florida. I am an eclectic therapist committed to helping my clients improve their lives.

Yo empece mi carrera de salud mental como psicologa clinica en Colombia. Esta es mi pasion ayudar a los clientes a mejorar sus vidas y descubrir sus potencialidades. Esto me llevo a buscar una acreditacion como licenciada en consejeria mental despues de transladarme a Miami, Florida. Soy una terapista eclectica dedicada a ayudar a mis clientes a mejorar sus vidas.

I utilize techniques found in many approaches, especially Cognitive Behavioral, Rogerian, Dynamic, and Solution-Focused, with a primary concentration on Humanistic. With the Humanistic approach I put the client at the center. The client guides the session and this therapist utilizes techniques to bring about favorable outcomes, including realizing goals and creating a better quality of life for the client.

Yo utilizo tecnicas de diferentes teorias, especialmente terapia centrada en el cliente o Rogeriana, terapia cognitiva y comportamental. Como tambien tecnicas de otras corrientes que puedan beneficiar al cliente, centrandose en la corriente humanista donde pone al cliente en el centro y el terapista es un facilitador que utiliza tecnicas para lograr una mejor calidad de vida del cliente.

First, we establish rapport and a safe, workable environment. We then begin to focus on issues, goals, and start to formulate a plan.

Primero se crea una ambiente empatico donde el cliente se sienta comodo de expresar la situacion en la que quiere mejorar, estableciendo metas y formulacion de un plan de tratamiento.
