Great to meet you!

I graduated from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus, in 2014 with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and certified by The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, the world’s leading organization in addressing population-wide psychological trauma through integrative, holistic care. This approach emphasizes practical techniques—such as meditation, guided imagery, expressive drawings, and other mind-body skills—to promote self-care and mutual support. I have extensive experience working with culturally diverse populations facing complex mental health challenges, including severe mental illness, co-occurring medical conditions, and alcohol, substance, and tobacco use.

My approach to therapy

My approach is flexible, collaborative, holistic and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy. As a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, I also offer specialized interventions and relapse prevention strategies for clients looking to quit or reduce tobacco use. Together, we will create a personalized plan that supports your overall well-being—mind, body, and spirit.

What you can expect from me

Together, we’ll begin by building trust and helping you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. From there, we’ll define clear, meaningful goals based on what you want to accomplish. As we continue our work, we’ll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as needed, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

In our first session, we’ll focus on how you’ve been feeling recently. I’ll ask questions to better understand what might be contributing to those feelings. This initial session is about creating a genuine connection and gaining clarity on how we can move forward together.

I understand that each person is unique, so I take time to listen carefully before offering suggestions. I believe you are the expert on your own story and that you already possess many strengths that can help you navigate life’s challenges.
