Great to meet you!

I was born and raised in Croatia, former Yugoslavia. I obtained a Law Degree in former Yugoslavia and briefly practiced law at the Municipal Court in Croatia. I moved to USA in 1986 and worked as a Rape Victim Assistant through Attorney’s office in Portland Oregon. In 1987, my husband and I moved to Asia and lived in South Korea, Hong Kong and Indonesia. During that time, I taught English at local colleges and universities and had ample opportunities to acquaint myself with local cultures and languages. Upon returning to USA in 2000 we settled in Santa Barbara, CA. The same year I started a graduate program at Pacifica Graduate Institute and Jungian School of Psychology in Carpinteria, California. After graduation, I worked for various local mental health agencies, Santa Barbara County Mental Health and started my own private practice. I moved to Las Vegas 11 years ago and during that time I obtained MBA with an emphasis on Health Industry as well as doctorate degree in Christian Psychology. I have been married for 40 years. I have two grown-up daughters, and one granddaughter. I love my job and challenges. Witnessing my clients transformation as they are becoming persons they want to be is priceless.

My approach to therapy

When determining which theories and models of treatment to integrate into a comprehensive therapy program and universal treatment plan, I take a holistic, flexible, and evidence-based approach. This ensures that I can develop a framework that is broad enough to provide consistency across client's various issues, yet adaptable enough to meet client's specific needs.

Understanding various therapeutic modalities help me find an approach that resonates with client's unique needs, preferences, and goals. Whether client is dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, knowing what's out there can empower a client to make informed decisions about her/his mental health care.

What you can expect from me

The first step involves a thorough initial assessment of client's presenting issues, history, current circumstances, strengths, and goals. This includes gathering information on your mental health symptoms, past traumas, family dynamics, cultural background, medical history, and personal preferences. Using structured interviews, self-report questionnaires, and psychometric tools, helps me identify key areas for intervention.
