Great to meet you!

As a board‐certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, (PMHNP) with passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals across the life span. I am dedicated to fostering strong, trusting therapeutic relationships and providing care rooted in respect, compassion, and professionalism. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental‐health journey. I approach each individual with genuine curiosity and empathy, honoring their autonomy while guiding them toward meaningful insight and sustainable growth.

I bring over 18 years of experience in nursing and mental health, and I am deeply committed to providing care that honors the whole person. I am passionate about a holistic approach that considers not only mental‐health symptoms but also the social, environmental, and lifestyle factors that influence emotional well‐being.

My clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of depression and anxiety, and I use a variety of evidence‐based modalities to support each individual’s unique needs. My treatment approach includes medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, and psychoeducation to help clients understand their symptoms and build practical coping skills.

I strive to create a collaborative, respectful, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel supported in their journey toward improved mental health and overall wellness.

My approach to therapy

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to connect, collaborate, and create with intention. I bring a calm, compassionate presence to every interaction and strive to make each client feel safe and respected. My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity, allowing clients to explore their experiences without judgment and with a sense of partnership in their healing journey.

Some of the qualities I bring to every session include a caring and respectful presence, along with a commitment to creating a non‐judgmental space where you never feel shame or stigma. My goal is to ensure you feel safe, supported, and accepted exactly as you are, so you can explore your experiences openly and move toward meaningful growth.

I believe in a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing that each individual is unique and deserving of care that reflects their whole experience. I take time to explain treatment options, medications, and mental‐health conditions in a way that is easy to understand and genuinely empowering. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, confident, and actively involved in your care, with a treatment plan that honors your needs, values, and lived experiences.

Communication is the key to establishing a positive and meaningful therapeutic relationship. I make it a priority to create space for open dialogue, ensuring you always have time to ask questions and express concerns. I strive to communicate clearly and effectively, and I encourage the same openness from you so we can work together with understanding and trust. My goal is to make every interaction feel collaborative, transparent, and supportive, allowing you to feel fully informed and actively involved in your care. Collaboration and trust are at the heart of my practice.

What you can expect from me

During your initial session, my priority is to get to know you in a supportive, comfortable, and non‐judgmental environment. I take time to actively listen so I can fully understand your concerns, experiences, and goals. This helps me gain a clear picture of what you’re navigating and what matters most to you.

I present treatment options in a transparent and collaborative way, and together we create a plan that aligns with your needs, values, and preferences. I deeply respect your autonomy—you remain in control of your care, and I’m here to guide, support, and empower you. As we move forward, I regularly reevaluate your progress to ensure that our initial approach remains effective and responsive. If something isn’t working, we adjust it together.

My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools that genuinely help you move through life’s challenges.

Present your symptomology of your present concerns, review your medical history, medication list, identify any allergies, collect family history, review tools such as: PHQ9, GAD, run a report on cures, ASQ (Ask suicide questions), sleep assessment, create a treatment plan which may include medication, discuss your goals for treatment-what you hope to gain from our work together and lastly, initial therapy, schedule 2 weeks follow up for medication management.
