Great to meet you!

At Pottermind Psychiatry, we believe mental health care should be compassionate, personalized, and centered around the unique needs of each individual.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my approach combines evidence-based medication management with faith-based therapeutic support to help clients achieve meaningful improvements in their mental health and quality of life. I work collaboratively with each client to understand their experiences, identify underlying challenges, and develop a treatment plan that supports both symptom relief and long-term wellbeing.

My clinical style is warm, attentive, holistic, and solution-focused. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and supportive psychotherapy to help clients gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills.

I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, Psychosis and other mental health conditions. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I work closely with each client to understand their unique experiences, concerns, and treatment goals. I believe that mental health care is most effective when individuals feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.

I integrate thoughtful medication management with supportive psychotherapy and practical therapeutic strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. This allows us to address both the biological and psychological aspects of mental health.

My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns while developing effective coping skills and strategies that support long-term emotional wellbeing and stability.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel safe sharing your concerns. This initial visit is primarily focused on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to seek care.

We will discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any previous treatments or medications you may have tried. I may also ask about factors that can influence mental health, such as sleep, stress, work, relationships, and daily routines. This helps me gain a comprehensive understanding of your situation.

Together, we will identify your goals for treatment and discuss possible next steps. This may include developing an initial care plan that could involve medication management, therapy-based strategies, or both. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have about treatment.

My goal is to ensure that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clear understanding of the plan moving forward.
