Grace Mamou

Hi, my name is Grace Mamou. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Louisiana. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in Psychology and my Master’s degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport in Counseling Psychology. I am passionate about wholeness in mind, body and spirit. I have experience in working with individuals and families with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, low self-esteem, spirituality, anger management and relationships.

I am familiar with cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, person centered therapy, and solution focused therapy. I also have an interest in learning and incorporating techniques from Internal Family Systems and Emotion Focused Therapy. I also have a passion for integrating faith into therapy. My goal as a therapist is to empower clients to find their inner strength to overcome challenges and become the individuals they are created to be.

As a counselor, it is my goal to provide clients with a non-judgmental and safe environment. I believe in order for change to occur one must be open, be honest, be heard, and feel understood. It is my goal to facilitate change by collaborating with clients as they seek to achieve their therapeutic goals. It is my belief that we all have what we need on the inside of us to overcome life’s difficulties, but it takes faith, love, courage, security, hope, and commitment to be fulfilled.
