Great to meet you!

My name is Grace Sterling and I have been in private practice for 25 years. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Caldwell College in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I obtained my Master's degree in Psychological Services and then post master's credits towards my license in Counseling at Kean University. I specialize in depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, bariatric issues, and many other areas. I serve children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.

My approach to therapy

My focus is on the development of rapport with clientele in a person centered and cognitive behavioral approach to counseling. The aim is for my clientele to reach their goals and be the best they can be in all endeavors and to reduce symptoms that are interfering in their daily functioning.

What you can expect from me

The goal is for clients to take away strategies and tools required to help alleviate symptoms that are affecting emotions. I believe that if clients build trust and rapport in therapy and feel comfortable in the environment, they openly express their feelings and tend to resolve repressed emotions in a healthy way.
