Gracie Bowden

I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Lifespan Development and a minor in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University, and went on to complete my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Florida.

My background includes working with children, teens, and families in both educational and therapeutic settings, as well as most recently supporting individuals and groups in addiction and recovery programs. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through Florida Atlantic University and integrate evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based strategies. My clinical interests include supporting clients through persistent depression and anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, and identity exploration. I also welcome partners and families into therapy, believing that healing and growth often take shape within our most important relationships.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I create an environment where clients feel safe to bring their full selves into the room, whether that means tears, laughter, or silence. Clients often describe me as someone who “weathers the storm right there with you,” whether you are in the valley, the rain, or the sunshine. In sessions, clients can expect a balance of structure and flexibility. I integrate CBT to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, DBT strategies to build coping skills, mindfulness to encourage presence and self-awareness, and a strengths-based approach that emphasizes what is already working within you. I strive to meet each client where they are and adapt my approach to their unique needs and goals.

I believe therapy is not about fixing a “problem” but about creating new possibilities for how we respond to life. I hold no expectations for who you are or how your process unfolds in therapy. Instead, I strive to offer steady presence, deep compassion, and fierce support throughout your journey. My hope is that over time, clients leave sessions with not only greater clarity and self-trust, but also a renewed sense that healing and growth are possible. My role is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where hope can take root.
