Great to meet you!

My work in mental health is shaped by both professional training and a life lived across cultures. I am an internationally graduated Medical Doctor (IG-MD), born in Venezuela with strong Greek roots, and I have lived in the United States for over 30 years. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and help me connect meaningfully with people from all walks of life.

I currently practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus in psychiatry. In addition to my psychiatric training, my background in hospital medicine has strengthened my ability to understand individuals as a whole—recognizing how mental health, physical health, and daily life continuously influence one another. This allows me to provide care that is thoughtful, balanced, and highly individualized.

Much of my clinical work has been in telehealth, where I offer accessible and attentive care to patients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents (ages 6–18) as well as older adults. I commonly work with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADHD, and I incorporate holistic strategies to support long-term mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, respectful, and collaborative. I value listening deeply, building trust, and partnering with each person to create a care plan that aligns with their goals, values, and lived experience.

My approach is holistic, collaborative, and patient-centered. I focus on understanding the whole person—not just symptoms—by considering emotional health, physical well-being, life experiences, and individual goals. With a strong foundation in psychiatry and additional training in hospital medicine, I take a thoughtful, well-rounded view of each patient’s care.

I prioritize listening, education, and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their treatment. Care plans are personalized, evidence-based, and adapted over time as needs evolve. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to older adults—can feel comfortable, understood, and empowered on their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an in-depth, thoughtful conversation designed to understand you beyond symptoms or labels. We’ll explore your personal story, family and social background, medical history, and the experiences that have shaped your mental and emotional health. This information becomes the groundwork on which your care is built, allowing treatment to be intentional, individualized, and meaningful.

The tone is open, respectful, and collaborative. I take the time to listen carefully, ask focused questions, and clarify what matters most to you. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, concerns, and strengths, and discuss potential next steps—whether that includes medication, therapeutic strategies, lifestyle adjustments, or holistic supports. My aim is for you to leave feeling genuinely heard, understood, and confident that your care is being approached with depth, care, and purpose.
