Great to meet you!

’m Gregg Golden, MSW, LCSW, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate difficult experiences and create meaningful, positive change in their lives. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Certificate in Criminology from the University of Utah and my Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in Child Protective Services, Juvenile Probation, and Hospital Care Management. These experiences gave me a broad understanding of the challenges people and families face and strengthened my desire to provide compassionate, supportive care.

I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. My goal is to create a supportive relationship where we can work together to better understand what you’re experiencing and identify practical ways to help you move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide support, perspective, and tools to help you better understand yourself and work through the challenges you are facing.

I take the time to understand each client's individual experiences, strengths, needs, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on what you need, we may explore patterns of thinking and behavior, past experiences, relationships, emotional regulation, coping strategies, or practical skills for managing current challenges.

I strive to create a therapy environment that feels safe, respectful, and free of judgment. Whether you are working through anxiety or depression, processing trauma, navigating relationship or life difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, we will work together at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant background and experiences, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing what is important to you. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before starting therapy. Together, we’ll identify areas you would like to work on and begin developing goals that are meaningful and realistic for you.

Most importantly, I want your first session to feel like a comfortable starting point—not a test. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and a sense that you have a supportive person in your corner.
