Great to meet you!

I received my doctorate degree through Pace University's school-clinical psychology program. Through completion of this program, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, student clinics, outpatient clinics, a group practice, and inpatient care. My experiences have emphasized the importance of recognizing the unique individuality of each person I meet and the path that they are on. I work with individuals across the lifespan including children, teens, and adults.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy should be tailored to your individual needs. I integrate concrete skills and coping strategies with empathy, validation, and exploration to help those I work with identify their unique strengths. My approach pulls from tenets of many therapies including cognitive behavioral, relational, insight-oriented, and psychodynamic therapies. I prioritize my relationship with each of my clients as I feel this is the most important aspect of treatment and the growth that comes from it.

What you can expect from me

I strive to streamline the intake process to make it as quick and painless as possible to get from the phone consultation to the first therapy session. The intake session is a guided discussion in which we get to know each other through a review of relevant background information, assessment of current issues, and exploration of what you would like to get out of therapy. This is essential in determining appropriate weekly goals and a treatment plan for your therapy.
