Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works with children (12+) & adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, OCD, and challenges related to life transitions. I bring a warm, open-minded, and empowering approach to care, with an emphasis on understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms.

Before entering psychiatry, I worked in education, an experience that strongly shapes how I practice today. My background as an educator informs my belief that growth happens best in environments that are supportive, collaborative, and developmentally appropriate. I place a strong value on helping clients understand their mental health, feel confident asking questions, and actively participate in treatment decisions.

My approach to therapy

I provide evidence-based psychiatric care that blends thoughtful medication management with a patient-centered, developmentally informed approach. I prioritize understanding each individual’s goals, values, and lived experience, and I view treatment as a collaborative process rather than a one-size-fits-all plan.

My goal is to create a warm, open-minded, and supportive space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions and pursue meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is creating a calm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know your concerns, your goals for treatment, and what has (or hasn’t) been helpful in the past.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, while also making space for your questions and input. Together, we’ll begin identifying clear, realistic goals and discuss possible next steps, which may include medication options, supportive strategies, or referrals when appropriate.

My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and empowered, with a clearer understanding of your treatment options and a sense of direction moving forward.
