Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience helping clients explore and navigate challenges related to relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. My approach is client-centered, meaning therapy is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory, with particular attention to how early life experiences shape our relationships with ourselves and others.

Living with anxiety, depression, or trauma can create deep feelings of isolation and hopelessness. Relationship struggles and low self-esteem often fuel fear, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. Breaking cycles of overthinking, managing intense emotions, and facing uncomfortable people or situations can feel exhausting. When emotions feel unstable and life feels heavy, recognizing the need for change is an important first step. While change can be intimidating, having a supportive therapist can make the process feel more manageable and less isolating.

I genuinely care about my clients and strive to meet them with empathy, compassion, and respect. I have helped many individuals navigate difficult life circumstances by increasing self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and reflecting on personal experiences. Together, we work to better understand the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck or distressed.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Feeling safe and supported is essential for healing and growth. I provide a nonjudgmental, supportive space where you can speak openly and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe therapy is most effective when it is tailored to the individual, so I adapt my style to meet each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. This allows us to address current symptoms while also exploring how early life experiences, core beliefs, and relationship patterns influence present-day emotions and behaviors. I help clients increase self-awareness, regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies.

I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and addiction-related concerns. My style is active and supportive, balancing insight-oriented work with practical tools clients can use in their daily lives. I focus on helping clients break cycles that keep them feeling stuck, build resilience, and develop a stronger, more compassionate relationship with themselves. Throughout the therapeutic process, I collaborate closely with clients, adjusting goals as they grow and ensuring therapy remains meaningful, effective, and aligned with their personal values.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel welcoming, supportive, and collaborative. My priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel respected. The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other—your concerns, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from therapy—at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

We’ll review relevant background information, discuss current challenges, and begin identifying patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, or relationships that may be contributing to distress. I focus on helping clients feel grounded and understood, not rushed or pressured to “fix” everything in one session. If appropriate, I may introduce simple coping or grounding strategies to help you manage stress or strong emotions between sessions.

Together, we’ll begin clarifying goals for therapy, such as improving emotional regulation, reducing anxiety or depressive symptoms, strengthening relationships, increasing self-awareness, or building healthier coping skills. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning goals are flexible and tailored to your needs as they evolve. By the end of the first session, most clients leave with a clearer understanding of the therapy process, a sense of direction, and reassurance that they are not alone in their healing journey.
