Great to meet you!

Gregory J.D. Smith, LCSW

I provide a warm, relational, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, creating a safe space where clients can explore their inner world and build lasting change. My work blends depth-oriented psychodynamic insight with practical tools to help clients regulate a dysregulated nervous system and heal from past experiences. I frequently use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and somatic/attachment-based approaches, supporting clients in processing trauma, strengthening self-compassion, and experiencing healthier relationships. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My general approach towards therapy comes from my training in the Humanistic Psychology approach that uses unconditional positive regard, combined with the strength's based perspective, so you feel the most in control of your healing process, as you get to know yourself better.

What you can expect from me

In every session, I will reference your treatment plan goals and objectives, so that you are aware of moving towards your life goals and feeling better, more confident, and know that you have acquired more skills to keep yourself safe and go after your best life.
