Greta Grier

Greta Grier is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work Degree from Widener University and over 18 years of education, training, and clinical experience providing trauma-informed care to clients of all ages with Trauma-Related Disorders, Addictions, and other mental health illnesses. My areas of particular interest are treating survivors of childhood trauma and sexual abuse, attachment disorders, and substance abuse disorders.

I use an eclectic toolbox of strengths-based, resilience-enhancing, empowering, trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and strategies, including person-centered therapy, humanistic therapy, CBT, CBT for Trauma, solutions-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and 12-step therapy, which has allowed me to help survivors overcome the long-term psychological effects of unresolved trauma by offering integrated treatment services explicitly designed to meet each client's strengths and need.

I pride myself on developing a safe, secure, and non-judgmental therapeutic rapport and environment for survivors to explore their thoughts and feelings and begin their healing process. My goal is to help individuals cope with the traumatic events in their past through empowerment by learning healthy coping skills, self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-care strategies to build trusting, healthy relationships, emotional well-being, and live self-fulfilled lives.
