Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Gretchen, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, ANCC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Lewis University. I work with individuals, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, and substance use concerns, providing care in both English and Spanish. I bring experience from emergency departments, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and private practice, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I value collaboration and flexibility, tailoring each session to your needs so you can feel empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative and compassionate approach, combining evidence-based techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy with a trauma-informed perspective. I prioritize empathy, cultural humility, and active listening, working together with clients to set clear goals, track progress, and adjust our plan as needed. My focus is on helping you build understanding, coping skills, and strategies that support long-term growth, wellness, and resilience.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you—your story, strengths, and challenges—and discuss your goals. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized treatment plan, whether that involves therapy, medication management, or both. I prioritize open communication and active listening, so you’ll have a supportive space to share and ask questions. By the end of our session, my goal is for you to feel understood, supported, and clear about the next steps on your mental health journey.
