Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Gretchen Brocwell, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Ohio University.

I enjoy working with adults and teenagers feeling anxiety, worry, depression, stress, and the effects of trauma. I'm here to help you navigate life’s challenges with care and understanding.

My approach to therapy

My style balances empathy with gentle, constructive challenges to help you along your journey to achieve meaningful change. I utilize a trauma sensitive approach that puts you and your strengths at the center of our work. I believe that our working relationship is the most important part of this process.

If you are quirky, neuro-spicy, like to joke, feel uncomfortable meeting new people, have social anxiety, have (or want) a dog/cat/ or horse as your best friend, feel like Too Much, or maybe you are just not sure about talking to someone, I might be the therapist for you.

I offer online therapy for people who are having feelings of worry, anxiety, panic, depression, isolation and loneliness, anger, sadness, numbness, and stress from life. Let's use what makes you special and unique along with new insight, fresh perspective, and healthy coping skills to reach your goals.

I understand that it can be awkward to meet new people and even harder to trust them. I maintain a small caseload so that I can can truly connect with my clients. Reach out to me and let's find new ways to navigate through the hard parts of life and discover the good and funny parts too.

If you have reservations about doing tele-health, let's address those! We can set up a 15 minute consultation and you can test it out. You may find that you enjoy being in the comfort of your own home. Pets and coffee or tea welcome!

What you can expect from me

Our first session would be an assessment. This would involve me gathering information about you, what you are experiencing, and your history. This session is also your initial opportunity to describe what you would like to see change in you life and to set your goals for our work together.

Future sessions would provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and empowered to work towards your goals to make changes and feel better.
