Great to meet you!

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and I believe you deserve to be met with warmth, respect, and genuine curiosity. I’m Gretchen Soto, M.Ed., LPC, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and caregiver strain. My approach is affirming, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Together, we will draw upon your strengths, explore what matters most to you, and identify meaningful steps toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy as a partnership grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your life. I use motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and practical, solution-focused strategies to help you better understand what may be keeping you stuck and discover your own reasons and readiness for change. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with particular attention to your values, identities, relationships, and lived experiences. You can expect warmth and honesty, thoughtful questions, and a space where we move at a pace that respects both your goals and your autonomy.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. I will invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what matters most to you, and what you hope may be different, without expecting you to tell your entire story at once. Together, we will identify your immediate priorities and begin shaping goals that feel meaningful, realistic, and truly your own. My intention is to create a warm, affirming space where you feel heard, respected, and free to move at a pace that feels right for you.
