My name is Guadalupe Garcia I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 14 years of experiences in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I understand that therapy can difficult but it is important for you to know that you will have a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings. My role is to support and guide you as you work towards your goals. I am supportive, warm, direct and listen without judgement. I also offer honest feedback and practical tools to help you move forward. I have experience working with a range of mental health concern and diagnoses, include anxiety, depression, ADHD, ADD, Bipolar, Grief Counseling, Schizophrenia personality disorders. I also have experience working with concerns such as stress, life transitions, career counseling and relationship challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive and tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. I use evidence-based practice approach like cognitive behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, personal centered therapy, play therapy mindfulness techniques and reflection skills are important during our session. It is important that the client feels heard and understood while learning practical tools and strategies that can help deal with daily life challenges.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for you to see if i am the right fit for you. A strong therapeutic relationship is key, so your comfort matters. You will be able to ask me questions during out first session. I will ask you some questions to better understand what brings you to therapy and your current concerns, and background information. We'll discuss what you hope to get out of therapy and identify goals. I will go over important details like confidentially and what to expect during our sessions together.
