Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Guy, a therapist who believes therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without judgment. My work focuses on helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and patterns that may have developed as a way of coping but are no longer serving them. I have experience working with complex emotional concerns and use evidence-based approaches including trauma-focused therapy, EMDR, and Schema Therapy. I take time to understand the person behind the symptoms and work collaboratively with each client to create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on understanding the deeper patterns beneath what brings you to therapy. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, I help clients explore where those patterns came from, how they affect relationships and daily life, and what can be changed. I integrate trauma-informed approaches, EMDR, Schema Therapy, and other evidence-based interventions based on each client’s needs. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I adapt my approach to your goals, pace, and readiness for change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, relationships, strengths, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
