Great to meet you!

Hello, My name is Gwen Mwanza McAuliffe I obtained my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University and previously worked in a private practice in New Hampshire. I am Licensed in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 124152). I enjoy helping clients navigate stressful periods in their lives, and specialize in helping clients cope with the anxiety and trauma that can result from these transitions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I view the therapist-client relationship as essential for a client's progress, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where healing can occur. During our time together I will utilize a client-centered Humanistic approach while incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

I enjoy working with clients who are curious about their behaviors and eager to learn how to implement coping strategies that work best for them. I am comfortable treating clients who have anxiety, are going through life transitions, and have trauma-related conditions that may be impacting their lives.
