Hey! I'm Gwen, a passionate (and quirky) licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from the UW Madison. I graduated in 2019 and since then, I've dedicated myself to providing comprehensive therapy services across diverse populations and settings. My experience spans working with adolescents, and adults in community mental health, group private practice, outpatient settings, and within the military community.
My focus is on supporting those with Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMAD), and I also enjoy career counseling, guiding people through life transitions, and addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD.
With a foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), my expertise has grown to include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, EMDR, and ERP.
I prioritize person-centered, evidence-based care, adapting my approach to meet each client's unique goals and needs.
The first session will always consist of completing an intake assessment. This helps me better answer the question: "What brings you to therapy?" and allows me to understand who you are. The second session always starts with person-centered treatment planning AKA- "Now that I know what brought you here, what do you want to do about it?" We will collaboratively create objectives that help you work towards your goals rooted in evidence based practices that I specialize in.
