Great to meet you!

I've been doing psychotherapy for over 50 years. My special approach to therapy is, perhaps "Jungian flavored." I believe, with my mentor and teacher, Joseph Campbell, that you might just be on your own personal "hero journey" through life; and you might welcome some companionship, wisdom and maybe even friendship along the way.

My education includes a Ph.D. in psychology, a twenty-eight year community college teaching career, a fifty+year marriage, building my own home, raising two beautiful, now adult, children, and writing eleven books, most of which are still in print!

My approach to therapy

My style is interactive, probing but warm and curious. I often initiate sessions by asking clients what is relevant in your life and, unfailingly, for a dream. I do sometimes use bio-feedback and sandplay,as an adjunct to therapy but that's only for in-person sessions.

What you can expect from me

I don't suggest goals to clients, I work together with you to find our where you need to go next. I try to help people find out what their personal myths are.
