Great to meet you!

Dr. Hadass Harel has partnered with her clients' in coping and recovery from Complex Traumatic Stress for almost 30 years, her entire adult life. She's worked in war zones and disaster areas, with trafficked individuals and refugees, veterans and first responders, in several continents across the Globe and in local inner cities of Massachusetts, where she is clinically licensed since 1995.

She is intimately familiar with the emotional and somatic aftermaths of a traumatic early life, such as Anxiety, Hypervigilance, poor ability to Self-Regulation and Depression, Addictions, Anger and Violence, as well as failure of the immune, endocrine and metabolic system. However she is also quite versed at breaking and re-training such patterns of the Somatic Psyche.

In the earliest years of her career, Dr. Harel was blessed to receive a pre-doctoral C.A.G.S. and years of Supervision in the Boston Trauma Center under Bessel van der Kolk. She then proceeded to a PhD in Expressive Therapies at Lesley University, which she took to India, to Banares and Kolkata, studying with indigenous priests, temple dancers, icon makers, and at the Dalai Llama's temple, attempting to make sense of and document the earliest origins of sensory healing and recovery.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Harel is a firm believer that a greater extent of insight - some restoration of trust in Oneself - or a measure of Healing - is possible and available for everyone as a result of Therapeutic Work, and that it is our role, as therapists, to hold open the space which will permit such New Choices and such Narratives of Recovery to form for you.

Although everyone's Journey is Individual, and obviously of a different length, she pulls from tools such as DBT/CBT, EMDR, NLP, Narrative Therapy, Jungian and Archetypal Work, and others - So if you are interested - just ask her.

What you can expect from me

A relief. An improvement. An easier time maintaining and coping with symptoms, at that skin-and-fingertip-sensations-and-toes-in-the-ground level. Assuming that that was what we came here to fix. And a safe space, and a Witnessing as we process that.

And a greater sense of insight, awareness, and presence, on the same level. Which sometimes gradually permits more enthusiasm for life, with some of the burden alleviated.

And then, of course, come more Choices and Possibilities
