Great to meet you!
Hi, I am Hailey George. I am an LMHC who specializes in working with adolescents and adults, people who have experienced trauma, and the LGBTQ community. I assist those who are struggling with the effects of trauma, bipolar disorder, depressed mood, anxiety, and questions related to gender identity or sexual orientation. As young as age 11, I would have friends, family, and even strangers approach me and leaning on me for support, including multiple instances of suicidal ideations and self-harm. When I was a teenager, one of those individuals died of suicide. The last memory I had of them was karaoke to the song “Hotel California.” I remember hearing that song shortly after and listening to the words, thinking I never wanted to be in the midst of a conversation about mental health and feel helpless ever again. This, alongside the experience of my own therapy at that age, I knew I wanted to hold compassionate, safe, non-judgmental space for people in a way that others before me did not have. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Creative Writing from Florida Atlantic University Wilkes Honors College. I hold a master’s degree and specialist of education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. I value lifelong learning and am committed to continually growing my knowledge base and skill set through ongoing training, conference attendance, consultation, and research. I am certified in heart-centered hypnotherapy and trained in EMDR through the Wellness Institute. A significant portion of my past clinical experience has been working in community mental health to provide WPATHs and mental health services to marginalized individuals in the LGBTQ community, which offers me the ability to provide gender affirming care and WPATH letters.
