Great to meet you!

I’m Hailey VanDerLeest, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD among other disorders across all ages.

A former competitive soccer player, my journey into psychiatry was shaped by personal experiences with injury, resilience, and growth. Forced to leave soccer after multiple knee surgeries, I developed a passion for understanding pain, perseverance, and healing. This fuels my holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing the mind-body connection, relationships, and lifestyle choices.

Beyond my practice, I’m a sister, daughter, friend, and dog owner who loves hiking, kayaking, and camping. I help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve lasting well-being.

My approach to therapy

I provide comprehensive psychiatric medication management with integrated supportive therapy. While my primary focus is prescribing and adjusting medications, I also incorporate brief, solution-focused therapy and lifestyle guidance to address the whole person—not just symptoms.

Specializing in trauma-informed care, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered in their treatment decisions. I explore how relationships, sleep, nutrition, and physical health impact mental well-being, ensuring medications are part of a broader, personalized care plan.

Sessions are collaborative and focused on optimizing medication effectiveness while offering targeted therapeutic support to help clients build skills and achieve long-term stability.

What you can expect from me

✔ Clarity & Insight – Identifying thought patterns and emotional triggers for self-awareness and change.

✔ Personalized Strategies – Practical tools including medication adjustments, mindfulness, and lifestyle interventions.

✔ A Supportive & Safe Space – Compassionate, judgment-free care built on evidence-based practices.

✔ Resilience & Empowerment – Equipping clients with skills for long-term emotional well-being.

✔ Holistic Focus – Addressing nutrition, sleep, movement, and relationships as key aspects of mental health.

I believe that from suffering, growth and transformation are possible. My goal is for clients to leave each session feeling confident, supported, and equipped with the tools to thrive.
