Great to meet you!

I’m a person first and a therapist second. My best days are the ones where I get to have meaningful, deep conversations. I’ll be genuinely curious and engaged with you. I won’t just sit there and nod or reduce you to a diagnosis. I love learning and consider curiosity one of my greatest strengths, and I bring that curiosity into every conversation by helping you better understand yourself rather than simply telling you what to do.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of listening to people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I bring my own perspective, personality, and creativity into the room while making space for what works best for you. My goal isn’t to tell you who you should be—it’s to help you better understand yourself, work through what’s getting in your way, and build a life that feels genuinely like your own.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative process, not something that is simply done to you. You know your life better than anyone, and my role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, identify patterns, and determine what you want to change. I may offer perspective, challenge an unhelpful pattern, teach a skill, or simply create space for you to process something—but we’ll decide together what is most useful.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to the individual rather than trying to fit every client into the same framework. I also believe that understanding the bigger picture matters. We’ll look at the different factors that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing—your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, environment, and past experiences—to better understand where change may be most helpful. Ultimately, therapy should be individualized, purposeful, and shaped around what you want to get out of it.

What you can expect from me

Deciding to seek support is a meaningful step, and it’s completely normal to have a mix of feelings about starting therapy. Whether this is your first experience with therapy, you’re returning after some time away, or you’re simply new to working with me, there’s no expectation that you’ll have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your history, current challenges, goals, and the things that are important to you. I’ll also take time to understand what you’re hoping to get from therapy so we can begin developing an approach that feels appropriate for you. Most importantly, you don’t need to know exactly where to start—I’ll help guide the conversation.
