Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm really glad you found your way here. Reaching out for therapy takes something, and I don't take it lightly that you're considering doing this work with me.

I work with a lot of different people on a lot of different things: anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, panic, grief, trouble sleeping, and the kind of stress that piles up until it's hard to carry. I also work with women, children, families, and people trying to make sense of who they are, how they relate to the people around them, or what to do with anger that feels bigger than the moment.

A few things about me: I have a dog named Lucy, I read constantly, and my family is where I refill my own tank. I share that because I want you to know there's a real person on the other side of this, someone who gets what it's like to have a full life and still need a little help holding it all.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe there's one right way to therapy. You're a whole person, and I want our work to feel like it was built for you specifically.

In practice, that means I pull from a lot of places. When unhelpful thought patterns are keeping you stuck, I lean on approaches like CBT and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. When there's something painful to process, EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT can help you move through it without getting overwhelmed. And when you just want to get unstuck and see some real momentum, Solution-Focused and Problem-Solving work can be a great fit.

Because so much of what we carry comes from our relationships, I also love working with families and doing relational work, whether that's Family-Focused Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, or something we shape together as we go. I like to stay creative and open-minded about it. If something isn't landing, we'll say so and try a different way in. This is a collaboration, and your honest reactions help steer it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly just us getting to know each other. You don't have to walk in prepared or brace yourself to unload the hardest thing right away.

I'll ask what brought you in, what you're hoping might feel different, and a little about your life and history. But you set the pace, and you decide what you're ready to share. Mostly I want you to walk away with a gut sense of whether this feels right, because that fit matters more than almost anything else we'll do together. Toward the end, we'll talk about what you're looking for and start sketching out where we might go from here.

Come as you are. That's genuinely enough, and we'll figure out the rest together.
