Great to meet you!

I know the process of finding a compatible therapist can be inconvenient and overwhelming. It's often easier to suppress those unpleasant emotions and memories than to open up trauma wounds. My hope is to help you get to a place where you can safely establish new boundaries, process what's holding you back, and set self-improvement goals for the future.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-first; I'll walk with you as you explore and examine the things taking up mental space that prevent you from moving forward. You'll find my style conversational and relaxed. I prefer using trauma-informed modalities for cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, as well as EMDR.

I have 15 years of eclectic experience in community mental health and adult/pediatric hospital settings. I've worked with a lot of different populations (veterans, unhoused, LGBTQ+, cardiac/transplant/chronic illness patients) and use this perspective to foster a warm, affirming environment so we can address your needs collaboratively.

What you can expect from me

Once we've met for a short phone consultation to ensure it's a good fit, you can expect the first few sessions to include information gathering so I can learn about your background and the experiences that have shaped you. From there we will create personal goals tailored to your individual needs and decide how best to proceed therapeutically.
