Great to meet you!

I got my start working in a residential setting, supporting people through serious mental health challenges, trauma, and addiction. That experience shaped how I see therapy, it’s not just clinical, it’s about feeling understood and not alone in what you’re going through. I now work with people dealing with things like trauma, emotional ups and downs, and substance use, and I’m trained in EMDR. While I have experience with more intense situations, I also work with people who feel stuck, reactive, or disconnected and want to understand why.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy focuses on understanding not just what’s going on in your life, but why certain patterns keep showing up. At times, we may explore past experiences and relationships to make sense of what you’re feeling in the present, including what comes up between us in session. If something feels more immediate or overwhelming, I shift into a more structured approach to help you manage and get through it. I aim to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, and my style is steady, direct, and collaborative. I plan to support you while gently challenging patterns, always at a pace that respects your readiness.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other without pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, but it’s meant to feel more like a conversation than an interview. If you’re feeling nervous or unsure, you don’t need to come prepared or have the “right” words, we’ll figure it out together. I’ll help guide things so you don’t feel like you have to carry it on your own, and we’ll start to get a sense of what you need at a pace that feels right.
