Great to meet you!
I’m Dr. Halima Al‐Khattab, a board‐certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with six years of clinical experience and over a decade of combined clinical, research, and community mental health work. I hold a PhD in Clinical Nursing Science from Indiana University and completed postdoctoral training at Case Western Reserve University, where my research focused on mental health in culturally diverse and underserved communities.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, anger and impulse concerns, and stress. I also have extensive experience supporting women, families, and individuals navigating cultural or faith‐related stressors. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep belief that people heal best when they feel understood, respected, and empowered.
In my practice, I offer psychotherapy and, when appropriate, medication management as part of a thoughtful, collaborative treatment plan.
