Great to meet you!

Hello, and I’m glad you’re here. I'm Halimat Oyabambi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I have over 15 years of nursing experience, including more than 2 years as an advanced practice provider, caring for individuals across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to adults and older adults.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and other mental health concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized because I believe no two people have the same story. I take time to listen, understand your experiences, and partner with you to create a treatment plan that reflects your needs, values, and goals. Whether your care includes medication management, supportive therapy, education, or lifestyle strategies, you'll be involved in every step of the decision-making process.

I understand that reaching out for help isn't always easy. Whether you're seeking care for the first time or returning after a difficult experience, my goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I want every client to leave our sessions feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with confidence that we're working together toward lasting mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should always feel personal, kind, and tailored just for you. There’s no “one-size-fits-all,” so I take time to really understand your story, strengths, and goals before we build a plan together. We’ll work as a team, and I’ll make sure you feel informed and comfortable with every step—especially when it comes to medication options. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and truly cared for.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is really just a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, judgment-free space. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, your symptoms, your health history, and what goals you’d like to work toward. I may also ask a few questions about your background so I can better understand the full picture. By the end, we’ll go over my impressions together and create a simple, personalized plan so you leave feeling heard, supported, and clear on next steps.
