Great to meet you!

Halisha’s goal while working with individuals, couples, and families is to support them while they are prioritizing their needs and to create an environment that is welcoming and inviting. Halisha is motivated and one of her many strengths is to foster interpersonal relationships and incorporating advocacy skills. Change is inevitable and Halisha’s role as the therapist includes helping clients to acknowledge their sense of self by committing to self-awareness and self-reflection.

My approach to therapy

Halisha draws from many therapy approaches including client-centered, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and stages of change. Each session is unique and must be made specific to meet the individuals needs.

What you can expect from me

As the consumer and client, you are in a position of power to address your specific needs and to be fully heard. One of the goals earlier on in the process once you make the decision to select Halisha as your personal therapist is to establish rapport and to determine the road map to recovery and long-term healing and she looks forward to meeting you and working towards your stated goals!
