Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Hanalei Berg, licensed clinical social worker. Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working extensively with adults experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, codependency, disordered eating, and body image. I practice from a health at any size (HAES) orientation. I have an affinity working with neurodivergent and LGTBQIA+ individuals. I have worked in settings including a trauma focused intensive outpatient program, community mental health, and domestic violence counseling.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative approach that is unique to each client. My primary orientation is psychodynamic therapy, supporting you in finding self-acceptance, peace, and a cohesive sense of self through exploring what causes you pain. I also integrate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) into my sessions. I am trained in the Flash Technique, a trauma-focused therapy that helps to process and resolve distressing memories.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, we will explore how early experiences and relationships have shaped how you see yourself and others. I believe that true healing happens in the context of a safe and authentic relationship with a shared sense of purpose. My approach is collaborative, open, and direct. Together we’ll create a space where you can learn to unmask, explore, grow, and connect with your true self.
