Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Hannah, a licensed independent social worker with experience supporting adults and families through anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, caregiving, and complex family dynamics. I have a particular interest in working with parents and stepparents navigating high-conflict coparenting and blended-family relationships, which can be especially emotionally exhausting when you’re trying to balance your own well-being with the needs of your family. I also enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and the everyday challenges that can make it difficult to feel present and enjoy life. My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself and talk openly about what you’re experiencing. Whether you’re navigating a specific life challenge or simply know that something needs to change, you don’t have to figure it all out before coming to therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools that fit your life. I tailor therapy to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, while balancing emotional support with practical strategies you can use outside of sessions. I want you to feel heard and understood while also feeling empowered to make meaningful changes. Most importantly, therapy should feel like a partnership where we work together toward the goals that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to get from therapy, and the areas of your life you’d like to work on. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history and current circumstances, but you won’t be expected to tell me everything at once. We’ll work together to identify where it makes sense to begin and what approach may be most helpful for you. Most importantly, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can be yourself and ask questions along the way.
