Welcome! Over the past decade, I have completed my formal education with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, the requirements for counseling licenses in Missouri and Tennessee, and developed specializations. My past work has been in caregiver care with Joni and Friends International disability ministry and as part of the resident-care team at a retirement community in a hospice chaplain internship. Since then, I have specialized in counselor burnout and life transitions, including disability acquisition and diagnoses' impacts on identity development. Now, I am actively developing an additional specialty in burnout prevention and resilience for actors and other performers with high-intensity events with lulls inbetween.

Typically, the first few sessions are spent gathering context and understanding related to the issues bringing people to counseling while we develop the therapeutic alliance or working relationship as a team approaching therapy.
