Great to meet you!

You may be navigating trauma, grief, disability, relationship challenges, or a major life transition that has changed how you see yourself or the world around you. I’m a trauma-informed, strength-based therapist who believes that what has happened to us can shape us without having to define what comes next.

My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own experience with adversity. After surviving a traumatic incident in Thailand that resulted in a spinal cord injury, I had to rebuild my sense of identity, purpose, and possibility. My journey has since taken me from becoming a yoga teacher in Rishikesh, India, to completing marathons on crutches. These experiences deeply shaped how I understand trauma, resilience, fear, and personal growth.

I bring both clinical training and lived experience into my work, creating a warm, genuine space where you can feel understood while discovering strengths you may not always recognize in yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person’s needs. I integrate CBT and DBT skills with mindfulness, meditation, breath-work, movement awareness, journaling, reframing, positive psychology, and strengths-based approaches.

My yoga training in Rishikesh also informs the mind-body perspective I bring to therapy. Trauma and stress aren’t always experienced through thoughts alone, so when it feels helpful, we may incorporate breathing, grounding, present-moment awareness, or other mindfulness practices alongside traditional talk therapy.

I believe therapy can hold both acceptance and change. We’ll make space for what you’ve experienced while also identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck, developing practical tools, building on your strengths, and creating greater confidence in how you move through your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for me to understand you, not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope could feel different. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story at once, especially when we’re working with trauma. You set the pace.

We’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and goals together, and I’ll explain how we might approach the work in a way that fits you. Depending on what you need, we may also introduce a practical tool such as grounding, mindfulness, or breath-work that you can take with you after the session.

Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful that meaningful change is possible.
