Great to meet you!

Hi! I work exclusively with young adults; teens to 20-somethings. Working with this unique age group is both a calling and my greatest honor. I started my career as a counselor in the public school system, and then transitioned to outpatient therapy about 4 years ago. During that transition to outpatient services, I began to explore my passion for working with highschoolers. college students, post-grads, and other young adults of a similar age. I now work with a variety of ages, but for telehealth services my clients are typically in the range of 18-25 years old.

Patient-therapist rapport is something I take great care to achieve; positive change will not occur if you don't feel fully seen and accepted by me. It's giving "cool aunt" energy. I am proud to be a trusted, non-judgmental, affirming adult for many young people. That doesn't mean we won't strive for growth though; I will dish out tough-love when necessary, but I promise to never do so in a way that involves shame, judgement, or lecturing. You're safe here.

My approach to therapy

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches during sessions because therapy isn't a "one size fits all" thing. My toolbox includes: CBT, DBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Work, Trauma-Informed Care, Art Therapy, Feminist Therapy, among others

What you can expect from me

First sessions take the form of an intake appointment where we will discuss your psychosocial history, current symptoms, and goals for your treatment. First sessions are a great opportunity to paint the big picture, not necessarily finalize all the details. Please note: for clients under 14 years old, I will complete the intake with a parent/guardian alone first and you are welcome to join us towards the end of the appointment.
